Concerns with mRNA vaccines in children are based on a combination of sources including: new research, such as that highlighting the contamination of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines with plasmid DNA; surveillance data such as that produced in the United States' Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS); and the best practices established in pharmaceutical regulations.
